Ring of Fire

Just one more reason to love the eastern sierras! This stunning mountainscape surrounded by massive collections of boulders is always beautiful, but when the sky is on fire the scene is truly elevated. The way the sun lit up the clouds like a ring of fire is something I had never seen before and have not seen since. This impressive and dramatic landscape is one for the memory books for sure! A friend described this image as having a very Lord of the Rings feel to it and I have to say I agree! The epic fantasy came to life in the mountains of California. The nerd in me is smiling.
